Unveiling Call of Duty: Next 2025 – How Activision is Transforming Las Vegas for ‘Black Ops 7’

The excitement builds in Las Vegas as Activision prepares for its Call of Duty: Next event. This Tuesday, the publisher will showcase big gameplay features from the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Call of Duty: Next is a yearly event where fans get a sneak peek at multiplayer and Zombies modes through a livestream. It’s also an in-person experience for influencers and press, offering them a firsthand look at the new game and showcasing extravagant promotions. This year, they’ve partnered with West Coast Customs to create a real-life version of the “Wonder Vehicle” truck from the Zombies mode.

In the new Zombies mode, players can upgrade the Wonder Vehicle to navigate a map called Ashes of the Damned while battling hordes of Zombies.

Activision’s marketing chief, Tyler Bahl, highlighted the ambitions for this year’s event. He stated that they wanted to make Next feel bigger and more interactive. This year, it will take place at Area 15 in Las Vegas, a futuristic venue that complements the vibe of Black Ops 7. Fans will experience hands-on gameplay from the multiplayer mode and a new free-to-play mode called Haven’s Hollow.

This year has also seen the introduction of the World Series of Warzone, where over 150 players compete for a $1M prize. Bahl noted that they aimed to create an immersive experience, with interactive elements like an animatronic robot and creators participating in off-site races.

The planning for this event took on a different approach, especially after launching consecutive Black Ops titles. Bahl emphasized that they took time to innovate, making Next feel fresh while still generating excitement within the community.

As for celebrity involvement, though the star-studded cast won’t be at the event, fans will see them in behind-the-scenes montages that will bridge gameplay with storytelling.

The in-person experience is sure to delight attendees, but Activision recognizes that many fans can’t make it to the event. Therefore, influencers will share insights and gameplay, helping to connect the larger community with what happens at Next.

In the end, this year’s event promises an innovative blend of gameplay, competition, and community engagement, embodying what makes Call of Duty special. As the gaming landscape evolves, so does the excitement around its most popular franchises.
