Wonder, a trendy food hall, has just launched its third location in Philadelphia, right at 3925 Walnut St., close to Drexel University. This new spot joins its sibling locations in Fishtown and South Philly.

Jason Rusk, the Executive Vice President of Restaurant Operations, shares that this concept simplifies ordering: “We make it fun and easy to try different cuisines all in one go.” Unlike other delivery platforms, which can involve long waits and messy deliveries, Wonder prepares all food in one kitchen at the same time, ensuring everything is hot and fresh.
The University City location offers twelve restaurant choices, featuring four from renowned chefs. You can enjoy dishes from Michael Symon’s Yasas, Bobby Flay Steak, Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson, and Marc Murphy’s The Mainstay. There are also local favorites like Tejas BBQ, salads from Royal Greens, and delicious pizza from Detroit Brick Pizza Co. Rusk emphasizes that the aim is to provide high-quality food and to introduce new flavors to the area.
Wonder also prioritizes community engagement. To celebrate their grand opening on September 4, they donated a dollar from each purchase to Philabundance, a local food bank. They’re also teaming up with Two Locals Brewing, a beloved Philadelphia-owned brewery. At the launch event, local DJ Joshua Lang performed, and popular artist Fabiola Lara showcased a limited-edition print inspired by the area.
Rusk mentions that they’re exploring partnerships with more local chefs, aiming to enhance their offerings with pop-ups and new collaborations. Customers can dine in or order through the Wonder app for pickup or delivery, thanks to a partnership with Grubhub. Tablets in the hall allow quick browsing of menus, making the whole experience smooth for everyone.
