New Delhi buzzed with excitement as Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at the India Mobile Congress 2025. He shared how India has made incredible strides in technology, thanks largely to initiatives like ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India.’
PM Modi emphasized how the Indian industry, startups, and educational institutions are now working together. He expressed confidence that this is the perfect time for investment, innovation, and creating in India. The PM said, “From manufacturing to mobile tech, India has vast opportunities in every field.”
Reflecting on past skepticism around ‘Make in India’, he pointed out significant advancements, like how every district now boasts 5G connectivity. “Initially, people doubted our capacity to produce advanced technology,” he said, “but we’ve proven them wrong.”
He further celebrated India’s achievement of launching a completely indigenous 4G stack, placing India among only five nations with this capability. “This step enhances our digital self-reliance. With our own technology, we can ensure connectivity for everyone,” he stated.
PM Modi also highlighted the importance of updating laws to support this tech evolution. The new Telecommunications Act, he noted, modernizes regulations to facilitate growth in the sector. He said, “This act streamlines processes and aligns with today’s needs.”
In a world where internet data costs are crucial, PM Modi pointed out that one gigabyte of data in India is cheaper than a cup of tea. This affordability has made digital access essential to daily life. He stressed that India’s commitment to digital infrastructure exemplifies its investor-friendly reputation, driven by a welcoming policy framework.
The theme of the India Mobile Congress 2025, “Innovate to Transform,” underscores India’s dedication to harnessing innovation for societal progress and digital transformation.
With significant developments in technology and vivid strides toward self-sufficiency, India is becoming a major player in global tech arenas.
