Join the Excitement: Kansas Team Takes on the Bryson Invitational!

The Kansas men’s golf team is gearing up for the Bryson Invitational, happening from October 13-15 at Ralston Creek Golf Course in Daniel Island, South Carolina. They’ll be competing against a strong lineup, including teams like Duke, BYU, and Wisconsin.

Coach Jamie Bermel is bringing a talented roster. Seniors Will King and Luke Honner will lead the team, joined by sophomores Ty Lasley and Hartej Grewal, along with freshman Arthur Carlier. Junior Will King will compete individually.

Coach Bermel shared his excitement: “We are eager to face a competitive field on a great course. The grass will be different, so quick adjustments will be key.” The Jayhawks recently finished sixth at the Windon Memorial Classic in Illinois, where Grewal shone with a second-place finish.

Carlier, hailing from Soissons, France, has made a strong entrance into college golf, boasting an average score of 71.8 and already securing a top 10 finish. King has an impressive average of 71.7 and has finished in the top 10 once. Meanwhile, Honner maintains a 72.0 average with a standout round in the 60s.

Lasley performed well at the Windon Memorial, finishing with a score of even par. He’s on track with an average of 72.6 for the season. Freshman Baker will compete as an individual once again, having participated in the season opener.
