Nintendo recently revealed some interesting details about their new game, Donkey Kong Bananza. Originally, it was developed for the first Nintendo Switch. However, the team soon discovered that the game wouldn’t be able to reach its full potential on that hardware.
In a recent interview, co-director Wataru Tanaka shared that the game smoothly runs at 60 frames per second (FPS) on the Nintendo Switch 2. In contrast, reaching 30 FPS on the older model was a struggle. Tanaka noted that memory capacity issues would have made it challenging to create the large, expansive stages they envisioned.
