Shalini Passi, known from Fabulous Lives vs. Bollywood Wives, recently shared her favorite cauliflower salad recipe during a chat show. Recalling her cooking journey, she said, “I learned to cook when I was 20-21 after someone pointed out that my mother hadn’t taught me.” Since then, she has explored various cuisines, including Hyderabadi Biryani. But nowadays, cooking has taken a backseat. “Everyone is on a diet. I eat what I need,” she explained.
Interestingly, Shalini revealed she no longer practices yoga. Instead, she focuses on meditation and breathing exercises. “I used to do yoga regularly, but I’ve shifted my focus,” she noted.
Her salad, which she loves, is packed with healthy ingredients like nuts, black salt, capsicum, greens, avocado, oil, and green apple. “Salads aren’t always healthy, but this one is special,” she said.
Shalini doesn’t indulge in cheat meals or sweets. “I work out a lot and don’t feel the need for them. I have a natural high,” she added. This disciplined approach to wellness centers on clean eating and movement.
According to consultant dietitian Garima Goyal, Shalini’s choices highlight a mindful lifestyle. “Her salad reflects plant-based nutrition, healthy fats, and fiber,” Goyal explained. “These ingredients support gut health and energy stability.”
The absence of cheat meals indicates a conscious relationship with food. Goyal points out that people who maintain such dietary habits often experience better mood stability and energy levels. “Shalini’s energy comes from balanced blood sugar, regular exercise, and perhaps meditation,” she said.
In today’s health landscape, the emphasis on clean eating aligns with rising trends in mindfulness and mental clarity. Nutritionists increasingly highlight the benefits of nutrient-dense foods for both body and mind.
Shalini’s approach serves as a reminder of how a healthy diet can enhance overall well-being. Ultimately, cultivating a balanced lifestyle, much like hers, can help many individuals feel more energized and satisfied.
