Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is set to return from a right hamstring injury for the Thursday night game against the Miami Dolphins. Ravens coach John Harbaugh expressed confidence, saying, “I feel very confident about it.”
Jackson missed the last three games, including a recent win against the Chicago Bears. Before getting injured, he was having an impressive season, leading the NFL with a 130.5 passer rating and throwing 10 touchdowns against just one interception.
During Monday’s practice, Jackson participated fully in the team’s walkthrough. Harbaugh noted, “It was a great walkthrough for him. He looked great.” His return could be a game-changer for the Ravens.
Since Jackson became the starting quarterback in 2018, the Ravens have a strong record of 74 wins and 32 losses, including playoffs. When he’s not on the field, that record drops to just 5 wins and 12 losses. This clearly shows how impactful he is on the team’s performance.
Jackson suffered his injury on September 28 in Kansas City, leaving the game in the third quarter. He returned to limited practice last week but faced some confusion about his practice status, which Harbaugh called “an honest mistake.”
Despite the rocky path, Jackson has a solid track record of bouncing back; he is undefeated (2-0) in his first game back from injuries during his career.
As of now, the Ravens hold a record of 2-5 after ending a four-game losing streak. The team hopes Jackson’s return will help shift their season in a positive direction.
