The New Ernakulam–Bengaluru Route
The Ernakulam–KSR Bengaluru train will run via Coimbatore and Palakkad, making interstate travel easier. With speeds up to 160 km/h, this train promises a smooth ride, enhancing the overall passenger experience. This initiative is part of Indian Railways’ effort to modernize the rail system in Kerala and boost connectivity in southern India.

The new train service will operate six days a week, taking a break on Wednesdays. It includes eight coaches—seven air-conditioned chair cars and one executive class.

- Krishnarajapuram
The total travel time is around 7 hours and 40 minutes, which is a significant improvement over existing options.

- From Bengaluru (Train No. 26651): Departs at 5:10 AM, arrives in Ernakulam at 1:50 PM.
- From Ernakulam (Train No. 26652): Departs at 2:20 PM, arrives in Bengaluru at 11:00 PM.
