A tragic incident in Rome has resulted in the death of a 66-year-old worker, Octay Stroici, who was trapped after part of a medieval tower, Torre dei Conti, collapsed. The horror unfolded late at night, with rescue efforts lasting nearly 12 hours.
Stroici had been on-site for conservation work near the bustling Via dei Fori Imperiali, close to some of Rome’s most famous landmarks. Sadly, his heart stopped while he was being transported to the hospital, despite emergency medical efforts.
