HONOLULU – Good news for Hawaii residents on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). You’ll soon get an extra $250 in your EBT account, and it will arrive earlier than expected.
Originally, this boost was set for November 14. But Governor Josh Green announced it will now be available on November 10. Some benefits might already show as ‘pending’ in your account.
You won’t need to apply for this relief; it will automatically be added to your EBT card.
Governor Green spoke about the struggles many families are facing due to recent challenges. “We want to ensure our families have the support they need to put food on the table,” he said.
This aid comes through the Hawaii Emergency Food Assistance Program (HEFAP), created to provide additional support due to delays in SNAP benefits caused by the federal government shutdown.
