NORTON, MA – Johns Hopkins rolled to a 14-6 victory over Austin in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) match on Sunday. This win boosts the Blue Jays’ record to 18-5 overall, maintaining an unbeaten streak of 7-0 in MPSF play, while the Kangaroos drop to 6-7 and 4-3.

The game started with Phillip Long scoring on a six-on-five opportunity. Austin quickly responded with a goal from Carlos Camarena. Soon after, Daniel Palfi netted a man-up goal, which sparked a 7-1 scoring run for Hopkins. They built a 7-2 lead before the end of the first half, with contributions from five different players.

Austin fought back briefly with two quick goals from Greyson Gaworecki. However, Owen Bartlett halted their momentum with a decisive goal. This set off another scoring spree for the Blue Jays, who stretched their lead to 14-5, showcasing talent from six players during the run. Austin managed one last goal from Owen Altermatt, sealing the final score at 14-6.

Long led the way for Hopkins with four goals, marking the 100th of his career. Bartlett not only contributed four assists but also racked up five points. Palfi had a strong outing as well, with three goals and two assists. Mason Hofmann added one goal and three assists, while Luke Mendelsohn made his mark with seven drawn exclusions and four blocks—tying a school record.

In goal, Kyle Pearson had nine saves, while teammates Chris Poisler and Sebastian Isaacs added three and six saves, respectively.
