Discover January’s Essential Mobile Food Pantry Stops: Community Cooperative’s Outreach for Fresh, Accessible Meals

This January, Community Cooperative has planned several mobile food pantry stops to support those facing food insecurity. Many in our community struggle to put food on the table, and these mobile pantries aim to ease that burden.

Mobile food pantries are vital for delivering fresh produce and essential items directly to neighborhoods, especially in areas where traditional food assistance might be hard to access. By taking food to where people live, these pantries help families, seniors, and individuals in need find nourishment easily and with dignity.

More than just feeding people, this initiative builds community spirit. It shows that we can rise to challenges together and support each other in tough times. In diverse Southwest Florida, the mobile food pantry is a source of hope and connection.

One important update: the mobile food pantry at Mariner’s Landing will be held on Monday, January 13, instead of the usual day due to the holiday season. This change allows more community members to access essential food and resources.

Upcoming Mobile Food Pantry Schedule:

  • Wednesday, January 15 — VA Healthcare Center, 2489 Diplomat Parkway E., Cape Coral (Corbett Road entrance), for veterans and their families only, from 9 a.m. to noon.
  • Thursday, January 16 — Lehigh Senior High School, 901 Gunnery Road N., Lehigh Acres, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, January 21 — Pine Manor Community Center, 5547 Tenth Ave., Fort Myers, from 10 a.m. to noon.
  • Wednesday, January 22 — North Fort Myers High School, 5000 Orange Grove Blvd., North Fort Myers, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Thursday, January 23 — Island Coast High School, 2125 De Navarra Parkway, Cape Coral, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, January 28 — Veterans Park Lehigh Acres, 55 Homestead Road S., Lehigh Acres, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Remember, each household can attend one mobile food pantry per month. Please bring an ID and, if possible, your own bags for the food you receive.
