Empath Health has appointed Jenna Paladino as its new Vice President of Government Affairs. She takes over from Scott Kistler, who is retiring after 28 years with the organization.
Jenna brings over 20 years of experience in health policy and advocacy. Her past roles have included work in hospice care, home health services, pharmacy, and value-based care. Most recently, she ran her own consulting business, where she championed laws that expanded telehealth services and protected hospice regulations.
Jonathan Fleece, the president and CEO of Empath Health, praised Jenna’s extensive expertise and ability to foster strong relationships in the health sector. He believes her contributions will be vital as they continue to support patients and caregivers across Florida.
Before Empath, Jenna led public affairs at Chapters Health System and held positions with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Florida House, and the University of South Florida.

Based in Clearwater, Empath Health is one of Florida’s largest nonprofit health networks. They provide critical services like hospice, home health, and palliative care, assisting over 80,000 patients each year. That’s about one in five hospice patients across the state.
As healthcare continues to evolve, especially post-pandemic, the demand for accessible services like telehealth is growing. A recent study by the American Hospital Association found that telehealth visits increased significantly, showing that many patients prefer this convenient option.
Jenna Paladino’s history in advocating for better healthcare policies positions Empath Health well to navigate these changes. With her leadership, the organization aims to continue its mission of enhancing care for those in need.
