Bellarmine Volleyball Faces Tough Loss Against Central Arkansas

Bellarmine volleyball started its last homestand of the season with a defeat, losing to Central Arkansas in straight sets: 25-22, 25-10, 25-13. This match took place on Friday night in Knights Hall. With this loss, the team’s record now stands at 11 wins and 16 losses, including 5 wins and 10 losses in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Central Arkansas improved to 15-11 overall and 12-4 in conference play.

The Knights showed grit in the first set, coming from behind to tie at 13-13 after trailing 12-7, but they couldn’t hold on. The following sets went in favor of the Sugar Bears, who dominated to secure the win as they gear up for the ASUN Tournament.

Junior Natalie Bland stood out for the Knights, leading with nine kills and nine digs. Redshirt freshman Mya Whit contributed six kills, while senior Kylie Van Hoy added 22 assists and six digs.

As a team, Bellarmine recorded four service aces and four blocks.
