Indoor adventure company URWLD, short for “Your World,” is set to open its first venue in the Middle East in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This exciting announcement came during the TOURISE Summit held in November 2025.
URWLD plans to offer more than a dozen thrilling activities under one roof. From indoor surfing and scuba diving to rock climbing and archery, there’s something for everyone. Interestingly, it will also feature some of Saudi Arabia’s first indoor ice climbing and caving facilities. These attractions aim to draw not just participants but also spectators from all walks of life.
This venue is just the beginning for URWLD, which has been in talks with Saudi officials for the last two years, including the Ministry of Investment and the General Entertainment Authority. More locations are planned in key cities like Jeddah, expanding the adventure experience across the Kingdom.
Local cuisine will be a highlight, with chef-inspired dishes available for guests to enjoy while watching the action unfold. In addition to dining, the venue will include wellness studios, retail shops, and spaces for private events. The programming will feature live events and virtual reality experiences, making it a comprehensive entertainment hub.
URWLD’s co-founder, Kevin Bacon, shares a vision for a healthier future. He states, “With consumers leading healthier lifestyles, we believe the next 20 years will mark the ‘active age.’ We are excited to introduce this concept in Riyadh.” The venue is expected to create over 500 jobs in the community.
Urban Legacies’ founder, Justin Beavis, adds that URWLD focuses on helping people discover new hobbies and connect with others. This aligns with a growing trend in urban areas, where active leisure markets are expanding. Recent research shows that nearly 70% of people are prioritizing health and wellness in their lives, making venues like URWLD particularly relevant.
As the focus on health continues, URWLD aims to be a vital player in Saudi Arabia’s evolving entertainment landscape. The future looks bright for adventure seekers in the region.
