A key delegation from India is heading to the Dubai Air Show, including officials from the Department of Defence, Ministry of External Affairs, and the Armed Forces. They aim to boost collaboration in defence technology and manufacturing.
During the event, Sanjay Seth will lead an industry roundtable featuring about 50 companies from countries like the USA, UK, Australia, Brazil, and Italy. This collaboration is a great opportunity to strengthen ties in defence production.
Sanjay Seth will also open the India Pavilion at the Air Show. This space will showcase Indian companies like HAL, DRDO, and Tech Mahindra, highlighting their innovations in defence. Additionally, 19 Indian firms, including Bharat Forge and BrahMos, will present their capabilities, along with 15 startups debuting their unique products.
The Air Show itself is a significant gathering, attracting over 1,500 exhibitors and about 148,000 professionals from around 150 countries. Major players in the aerospace sector, like Airbus and Lockheed Martin, will also be present.
Interestingly, the global defence market is projected to grow, driven by rising tensions and demand for advanced technology. According to a recent report by ResearchAndMarkets, the market could reach $700 billion by 2025. This growth emphasizes the importance of events like the Dubai Air Show, where nations come together to forge partnerships and share innovations.
As the Air Show unfolds, the presence of the Indian Air Force, including the Suryakiran Aerobatic Team and LCA Tejas, adds excitement and showcases India’s advancing aerospace capabilities.
