Support Local: Telangana BJP Chief Champions the Swadeshi Movement for a Stronger Community

Hyderabad: BJP President N. Ramchander Rao recently encouraged people to choose Indian-made products in their daily lives. Speaking at a workshop for the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, he emphasized the need for the Swadeshi movement to build a self-reliant nation.

Rao called on party members and the public to promote awareness about Swadeshi, reaching out to every district and village. He believes that supporting homegrown products can help India become the world’s leading economy by 2047. “This is our duty to the nation,” he remarked, noting that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India is advancing towards a developed future.

Reflecting on India’s past, Rao recalled how the country relied heavily on imports for essentials like milk powder and medicines. He pointed out that since Modi took office, India’s foreign exchange reserves have grown significantly, allowing it to lend money to 56 other nations.

He criticized the Congress party’s long tenure, stating that India was never truly self-sufficient during that time. Rao argued that Modi’s government has made critical decisions that led India to become the fourth-largest economy in the world.

Rao also highlighted India’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that the country became the first to develop its own vaccine. India not only vaccinated its massive population but also shared doses with various countries, showcasing its capabilities.

On the defense front, he mentioned that India once spent vast sums on foreign weapon imports. Today, indigenous products like BrahMos missiles and Tejas aircraft are both manufactured and exported. The success of ‘Operation Sindoor’ illustrated how effectively these homegrown defense technologies have performed, surprising many on the global stage.

The Make in India initiative has further transformed the industrial landscape, enabling the country to export products without relying on foreign sources. Rao concluded by stating that by embracing Swadeshi goods, India can step forward to become a global leader.

Social media has been buzzing with discussions about the Swadeshi movement. Many users share their experiences of choosing local products, highlighting their satisfaction and the quality of Indian goods.
