This achievement signals a significant rise for Concordia in the competitive landscape of college water polo.

Junior goalkeeper Pablo de Souza led the team with remarkable skill. He was named the WWPA Tournament Most Outstanding Player after making 11 saves and letting in only five goals. His strong defense played a crucial role, helping to stifle Biola’s offense throughout the game.

The Golden Eagles showcased their scoring talent as well. Players Oscar Garcia Blomback and Harry Bentham each scored twice, setting a strong pace early in the match. Others, including Sam Diamond, Carter Clenney, and Kaliq Khan, contributed with goals, keeping pressure on Biola’s defense.

Khan stood out with his all-around performance, securing a goal, two assists, and winning an important sprint. His teammates Porter Rosenlof and Dimitrios Koritsas provided key support, distributing the ball effectively and applying defensive pressure.

Following the game, CUI’s talent was highlighted with several postgame honors. In addition to de Souza’s top award, Koritsas and Hugo Wouters made it to the WWPA All-Tournament First Team, while Bentham earned a place on the Second Team.
