Discover India’s Homegrown Defence Drones: SPH Aviation Unveils Cutting-Edge Technology

SPH Aviation, a top player in India’s drone technology scene, is set to showcase its latest innovations—an indigenously developed Fixed-Wing Kamikaze Drone and a High-Altitude Multicopter UAV. These demonstrations for the Indian Army in Spiti Valley and the J&K Police are exciting steps forward for India’s defense capabilities.

Just a few weeks ago, SPH Aviation introduced five new drones in New Delhi, highlighting Haryana’s role in advancing the country’s aerospace sector. The event was attended by Haryana’s Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, reflecting local support for this growing industry.

Additionally, SPH Aviation has delivered “Hawk” Training Drones to the 02 MARATHA LI Regiment. These drones are essential for training military personnel in operational readiness.

Deep Sihag Sisai, Chairman of SPH Aviation, shared his vision for the future: “We want India to be self-reliant in defense technology. Aatmanirbhar Bharat is not just a government goal; it’s a dream for every innovator in our country. We’re committed to creating world-class drones for our armed forces.”

This vision is backed by collaboration with institutions like IIT Kanpur and IIT Ropar, which helps in research and development, making prototype drones and scaling up production. SPH Aviation, a DGCA-approved training entity, has already trained hundreds of drone pilots throughout India.

As of 2023, the global drone market is expected to reach $41.3 billion, with military applications continuing to grow. This trend underlines the importance of homegrown innovations in defense technology.

With the increasing demand for tactical UAVs, SPH Aviation’s work demonstrates India’s expanding military tech capabilities, readying its forces for modern challenges.
