With Soup It Forward, families receive all the ingredients for a monthly soup recipe, a cooking guide, and a container for sharing a serving with someone in need. Dry’s inspiration for the program came from her experiences working with youth in West Dallas and East Dallas, where she saw many families relying on food pantries.
