Men’s Basketball Update: Penn vs. Villanova

- Freshman Jay Jones scored all his nine points in the second half.
Interestingly, despite scoring well in earlier games against Saint Joseph’s and Drexel, senior Ethan Roberts went scoreless and left the game due to injury.
On Villanova’s side, Bryce Lindsay stood out with 18 points. Other notable performances included Devin Askew with 17 points and Duke Brennan, who secured a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
How the Game Unfolded:
The match began competitively, with Zanoni tying the game at 8-8 early on. However, Villanova quickly took control, ending the first half with a commanding 44-29 lead following a strong 17-2 scoring run.
In the second half, Penn tried to rally, but Villanova responded swiftly. They maintained a strong lead, reaching a 30-point advantage at one stage.

Penn will return to the court on Monday, facing Lafayette in what will be their final game before the fall exams. The game is set for 6 PM at The Palestra.
