CLEVELAND, Ohio — Shedeur Sanders showcased his talent during the Browns’ narrow 31-29 loss to the Titans, making a strong case for himself as a future quarterback. Despite the defeat, his performance was impressive, especially in the final minutes of the game.
With time running out, Sanders threw two touchdowns in just over four minutes. He started with a 7-yard scramble for his first rushing touchdown as a Brown. He followed it up with a 7-yard pass to Harold Fannin Jr., bringing the score to 31-29 with just over a minute to play. During those two drives, he completed 9 out of 10 passes for 109 yards.
The Browns struggled on two-point conversion attempts after each touchdown. The first was marred by a fumbled snap from backup center Luke Wypler. For the second, Sanders had to exit momentarily, and an awkward play failed to convert.

In today’s NFL, quarterbacks are often judged by their response under pressure. Recent studies have shown that rookie quarterbacks can struggle significantly, with most not achieving a passer rating above 90 during their first few starts. Yet, Sanders has defied these trends, proving he’s capable of leading the team when it matters most.
