Born on October 8, 1965, in Montclair, New Jersey, Greene began his acting journey in a short-lived 1990 NBC series called Hardball. He made his film debut in 1992’s Laws of Gravity, where he starred alongside Edie Falco.

Greene’s career quickly gained momentum. In 1993, he starred in Clean, Shaven, which was showcased at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival. The following year made him a standout: he played Zed in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, a film that won the Palme d’Or that same year. He was also featured as Dorian Tyrell opposite Jim Carrey in The Mask.

He steadily worked in the industry, appearing in films like Kiss & Tell, Blue Streak, End Game, and The Bounty Hunter. Fans also remember his roles in The Usual Suspects and Training Day. Edwards shared, “He was one of the best character actors on the planet.” Greene had two upcoming projects, Mascots with Mickey Rourke and a documentary titled From the American People: The Withdrawal of USAID. This project, featuring Jason Alexander and Kathleen Turner, focused on the global impact of USAID’s dismantling.

Greene was committed to shedding light on important issues through his work. “He was passionate about these themes,” Edwards shared. “He was a good friend who would give you the shirt off his back. He was loved and will be missed.”
