Meet Family Medicine Provider Potter: A Warm Welcome to UPH – Marshalltown

UnityPoint Health recently welcomed Maggie Potter, PA-C, to their family medicine clinic at 303 Nicholas Drive in Marshalltown. With a strong educational background from Iowa State and Des Moines University, Potter is eager to contribute to the community.

“I’m thrilled to be here and provide quality care,” she said. “My goal is to help patients make informed health choices.” For Potter, building trust is essential, allowing her to effectively support patients from newborns to the elderly.

Her journey in healthcare began at UnityPoint Health as a patient care tech. Now, she’s dedicated to managing chronic conditions and promoting preventative medicine. She particularly has a passion for women’s health, mental health, and cardiology.

Trust is important to Potter. “I want my patients to feel comfortable talking about their health,” she explained. “A respectful relationship is key to successful care.”

According to a recent study by the Pew Research Center, 82% of patients believe a good relationship with their healthcare provider significantly affects their overall health outcomes. This emphasizes the importance Potter places on building connections.

Potter is currently accepting new patients at UnityPoint Health Family Medicine in Marshalltown. You can reach out for an appointment at 641-753-2752 or visit UnityPoint Health’s website for more information.
