LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — With Christmas nearing, Catholic Social Services is reminding families to reserve their Christmas baskets soon.
John Soukup, a Development Officer, shared a touching story: “One family had to choose between gifts for their kids and a festive dinner. That’s a tough choice.” He emphasized that many families face similar struggles during the holidays.
The food baskets aim to ease this burden, providing turkey or ham along with holiday side dishes. Soukup noted, “These meals can really help families during one of the most expensive times of the year.”
