“In Pennsylvania, we’re making historic investments in education so every child can succeed, regardless of their background,” Governor Shapiro said. “From providing free breakfast for every student to fixing unsafe school buildings, we’re delivering real resources and results.”

The Allentown School District, which serves a diverse group of students, is a shining example of this progress. It received $252.8 million from the 2024-25 bipartisan state budget—a nearly $90 million increase since Governor Shapiro took office. An additional $20 million was allocated through a new formula aimed at schools that need the most help.

Harrison-Morton Middle School, home to 667 students in grades 6 through 8, reflects the positive effects of these financial boosts.
