Republic Day 2025: India is getting ready to celebrate Republic Day on January 26, 2025. The main event will be the exciting Republic Day Parade held on Kartavya Path near India Gate in New Delhi.
This parade, which runs from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate, features impressive displays from the Indian Armed Forces and paramilitary units. It’s a sight to behold, with marching soldiers and military equipment.
Each year, we also see colorful tableaux from different states. These tableaux showcase India’s diverse culture and traditions. Republic Day is a special day as it marks the adoption of the Indian Constitution on January 26, 1950. It’s a day when India embraced democracy.
The first Republic Day took place in 1951, and in 2025, we will celebrate 76 years of being a republic. This year’s theme is ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas,’ which means ‘Golden India: Heritage and Progress.’ It reflects our cultural richness and the growth we’ve achieved as a nation.
The parade will feature tableaux from 15 states and union territories, including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, and Goa, among others. In addition, 11 contingents from the central government will also take part.
Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto will be the chief guest this year, adding to the significance of the celebration.
