New Healthcare Hub Coming to Quincy
Exciting news for Quincy, MA! A new multi-specialty care center is in the works, and local leaders recently celebrated a key milestone in its construction. The “topping off” ceremony marked the completion of the center’s structural frame, signaling progress towards its opening in 2027.
This modern facility will offer a range of healthcare services such as primary care, urgent care, diagnostic radiology, lab services, and a retail pharmacy. Patients can also benefit from specialized services in areas like cardiology, OBGYN, cancer care, orthopedics, and gastroenterology—all under one roof.
Peter Shorett, COO of Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH), emphasized the center’s importance. He stated, “By expanding healthcare services in Quincy, we increase access to top-notch care.” This sentiment was echoed by Pete Healy, president of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, who noted how convenient it will be for the community to have so many services in one location.
Construction began in 2025, managed by Consigli Construction Co. This project represents a significant investment in the community’s health and vitality. Mayor Thomas P. Koch highlighted the center’s role in enhancing local healthcare, reinforcing Quincy’s commitment to providing high-quality medical services.
Interestingly, Boston’s healthcare landscape has seen significant shifts in recent years. Data from the Massachusetts Health Policy Commission reveals that access to specialty services has improved statewide but varies by location. This new care center aims to bridge gaps in access for Quincy residents, ensuring they have local, comprehensive medical support.
As Quincy prepares for this facility at 55 General McConville Way, it’s clear that the community’s future health needs are being prioritized. Importantly, this center will not only bring together various healthcare services but also support local jobs and contribute to the economy.
