Recently, a family from Dubai contributed gold letters inscribed with “Om Sai Ram.” They also gifted a beautifully crafted golden frame for the window where visitors can see Shree Sai Baba’s idol. The identity of the donor remains private, as per their request.
Another notable donation came from Tej Bahadur Singh, a devotee from Madhya Pradesh who presented a gold crown weighing 200 grams, valued at about ₹20.16 lakh. Just days earlier, a devotee from Ahmedabad donated a gold Ganesh idol weighing 102.450 grams, estimated at ₹12.39 lakh, also preferring to stay anonymous.
The Shree Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (SSST) reports that donations include not only precious metals but also cash and various gems. Recently, Dr. Sriram Iyer from Mumbai stepped up with a significant donation: an advanced 2D ECHO EPIQ CVX ultrasound machine valued at ₹1.04 crore for the SSST hospital. This machine will enhance the speed and accuracy of cardiac examinations, greatly benefiting patient care.
Statistics show a rising trend in charitable contributions to religious institutions. According to a recent survey by the Charities Aid Foundation, about 70% of people in India donate to religious organizations, indicating a strong cultural connection to philanthropy within faith communities.
