Rumors about Travis Kelce’s retirement are buzzing. Recently, his brother Jason raised questions about whether Travis would hang up his cleats after this season. Chiefs coach Andy Reid added fuel to the fire, admitting he wasn’t sure if Thursday’s game against the Denver Broncos, the Chiefs’ last home game this season, could be Kelce’s farewell at Arrowhead Stadium.
“I haven’t talked to him about it,” Reid said, keeping things vague.

Next offseason could bring big changes for the Chiefs, which might mean Kelce’s exit from the team. On a personal note, he recently got engaged to pop star Taylor Swift, with their wedding planned for next summer. Patrick Mahomes, the team’s star quarterback, noted that Kelce would have the freedom to choose his path after this season.
Even though the final games lack playoff stakes, Kelce has always been committed to playing, winning Reid’s admiration. Their bond, built over more than a decade, is evident. Kelce has said he wouldn’t want to play for anyone but Reid.
“Travis is a phenomenal player and an even better person,” Reid commented. “He’s great for the community and represents our organization perfectly.”
