The Performing Arts League (PAL) is excited to host its annual SUNDAY SHOWCASE on January 26 at 3:00 p.m. Join us at the UTC Fine Arts Center, specifically in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall, located at 752 Vine Street in Chattanooga. This event will highlight the amazing talents of young performers from local nonprofit arts organizations. You can expect a variety of performances in choral and instrumental music, dance, drama, and musical theater.
Tickets are affordable, with general admission at $10 and only $5 for children aged 12 and under. The money raised will help fund PAL’s grants and scholarships, which encourage youth participation in the arts.
PAL President Karen Wilson shared her enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to showcase the talents of Chattanooga’s youth. Once again, the show will be directed by Steve Ray, Head of UTC’s Department of Theatre. Our stage will come alive with performers from various schools and arts organizations, including Barger Academy Movement Makers, Camp Broadway/Tivoli Foundation, and many others.”
Since its founding in 2011, PAL has been dedicated to nurturing young talent in the performing arts across Chattanooga and Hamilton County. With a focus on dance, theater, and music, PAL annually raises funds to support programs that enrich the lives of young artists. They have awarded over $270,000 in grants and scholarships since 2014, benefiting numerous arts programs and aspiring performers.
The Sunday Showcase is made possible with the support of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Theatre Department, along with Arts Build and the Tennessee Arts Commission. The Chattanooga Times Free Press is the exclusive print media sponsor for this year’s event.
