Duffy Makes Dean’s List at University of North Georgia
DAHLONEGA, Ga. — Jack Duffy from Cape Coral has earned a spot on the fall 2025 Dean’s List at the University of North Georgia. To achieve this honor, he maintained a GPA of at least 3.5 while taking 12 or more credit hours without any grades below a B.

Urbanowicz Joins Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society
BATON ROUGE, La. — Ashley Urbanowicz, also from Cape Coral, has been elected to The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at Florida Gulf Coast University. This society is the oldest and one of the most prestigious collegiate honor societies, inviting only the top 10% of seniors and 7.5% of juniors to join each year.

Sweezor Graduates from Central Methodist University
FAYETTE, Mo. — Central Methodist University held its Winter 2025 commencement on December 6. Among the graduates was Skyler Marie Sweezor from Cape Coral, who earned a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree.
Scholarships for Lee County Graduates
The Suncoast Credit Union Foundation is working with the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools to offer five $3,000 scholarships for high school graduates in the Class of 2026. This initiative reflects a significant investment of $234,810 aimed at supporting students in their educational journeys.
Applications opened on November 1 and can be submitted until January 19. This program showcases Suncoast’s commitment to education, having contributed more than $40 million over the years, including over $2.9 million in scholarships. Amity Schuyler, President of the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations, emphasized the importance of supporting the next generation of leaders.
Farah & Farah Launches Empowering Greatness Scholarships
Farah & Farah, a personal injury law firm in Fort Myers, is relaunching its sixth annual Empowering Greatness Scholarship. In collaboration with the Florida Prepaid College Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Florida, the scholarship will award five deserving high school students a two-year college scholarship.
Students from public or charter high schools in Florida can apply until February 13, 2026. The scholarship covers tuition for 60 credit hours at any public college in Florida or can be utilized at universities or trade schools within the state.
