Discover the 2026 Indian Railways Timetable Revamp: 24 Express, Vande Bharat, & MEMU Train Updates – Full List Inside!

Indian Railways is updating its timetable starting January 1, 2026. This change impacts 24 key trains in the South Eastern Railway, particularly those operating out of the Chakradharpur division.

Many departure and arrival times will shift by 5 to 15 minutes, and some will change by up to 30 minutes. Railway officials emphasize that these adjustments aim to enhance operational efficiency and improve coordination across services.

Here are a few trains affected by the new schedule:

  • Howrah-Lokmanya Tilak Samarsatta Express: Leaves Howrah at 7:25 PM (previously 7:35 PM).
  • Shalimar-Bhuj Superfast Express: Departs at 7:50 PM (was 7:55 PM).
  • Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Duronto Express: Leaves at 5:35 AM (moved from 5:45 AM).
  • Tatanagar-Godda Express: Now departs Tatanagar at 1:55 PM (previously 2:00 PM).

These small changes can make a big difference for daily commuters, allowing better time management.

According to recent data from the Ministry of Railways, train delays can affect nearly 30% of passengers during peak hours. By fine-tuning schedules, railways hope to minimize disruptions.

In today’s world, timely transportation is vital. Passengers often share their travel experiences on social media. Many express gratitude for improvements, while some raise concerns about consistent punctuality. This evolving feedback emphasizes the importance of rail services in daily life.
