India’s railway system is gearing up to launch the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. Rail Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently highlighted its impressive speed and advanced features. In a speed test on December 30, the train hit 180 km/h on the Kota-Nagda line. An interesting water test showed how stable the train is; a glass of water on board didn’t spill, even at high speed.
The Minister shared a video on X to showcase this successful test. The Railway Safety Commissioner oversaw the demonstration, confirming the train’s remarkable technological capabilities.
This new sleeper train builds on the already popular Vande Bharat Express. It promises a comfortable and economical option for long journeys, as it’ll be fully air-conditioned and packed with safety features. BEML (Bharat Earth Movers Limited) has created two prototype sleeper trains, which are currently being tested.
With this update, India is showing progress in modernizing its railway services. The Vande Bharat Sleeper is more than just a train; it represents a commitment to enhancing passenger travel experiences. Similar projects in the past have included upgrades to train speeds and comfort, reflecting India’s push for an advanced rail network.
The excitement around the Vande Bharat Sleeper isn’t just from officials; it’s also gaining attention on social media. Users are sharing their thoughts and anticipation for this new journey option, highlighting a growing trend towards modern, efficient transportation in India.
