Patriots Revamp Practice Squad: Exciting Updates You Won’t Want to Miss!

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots have added TE Marshall Lang to their practice squad. Previously, Lang was part of the team’s practice squad earlier this year. In a related move, the Patriots have released RB Jashaun Corbin from the practice squad.

Lang, 24, stands 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 252 pounds. He first joined the Patriots on October 14, 2025, but was released just two days later. Before his time in New England, Lang signed with the Seattle Seahawks as a rookie free agent after playing at Northwestern. He had a solid college career, participating in 47 games and tallying 48 receptions for 491 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Corbin, 25, initially signed with the Patriots on October 7. He faced an injury and spent some time on the practice squad injured reserve before being activated on December 10. Corbin’s journey includes time with the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, and Atlanta Falcons, originally joining the Giants as a rookie free agent in 2022. In his first NFL season, he saw limited action, with just one rushing attempt and three receptions in six games. However, he had an impressive stint with the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL in 2025, where he led the league with 514 rushing yards and also contributed as a kick returner.

In a world where the turnover rate in the NFL is high, keeping track of players like Lang and Corbin shows just how competitive the league can be. For example, studies show that about 60% of undrafted free agents do not make it past their first season. Yet, stories of perseverance abound. In recent years, players like Philip Tanner and Chris Harris have found success after being undrafted.

As fans follow the unfolding narratives of these players, it reminds us that every roster spot is valuable in the pursuit of success.
