Dentist Arrested on Assault Charges in San Antonio
A dentist named Eric Tong, 34, was arrested in San Antonio on Monday. He is accused of assaulting a 21-year-old woman. The police responded to a call about the incident around 1:30 PM in the North Side area.
When officers arrived, they found the woman at the door, showing signs of distress. She said Tong had assaulted her multiple times and had physically restrained her to stop her from leaving.
The police found Tong inside the home and arrested him on several serious charges:
- Aggravated sexual assault
- Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon
- Assault on a family member, impeding breath or circulation
- Unlawful restraint
- Assault causing bodily injury to a family member
Tong has been booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center. As of now, his dental license with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners remains active.
