Recently, the community was abuzz with news about Versailles Healthcare opening soon. Marie Menchhofer, a Family Nurse Practitioner with 24 years of experience, shared her excitement with The Versailles Republican. She aims to welcome patients by March or April this year.
Menchhofer’s expertise includes 14 years in pediatrics and community health. She’s dedicated to providing quality care to Ripley County residents. After earning her Master of Science in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University in 2023, she expressed her mission: “to offer high-level, trusted care right where people live.”
The clinic will be situated at 202 Gaslight Dr. Suite 1, right across from UPS. Menchhofer plans to provide a variety of services, such as primary care, sick visits, lab testing, vaccinations, checkups, weight management, and chronic illness management. Plus, walk-ins are welcome, making healthcare even more accessible.
Menchhofer also mentioned that they will launch a website soon, where new patients can fill out forms and book appointments. In the initial phase, the clinic will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon. These hours may change as they establish operations.
The clinic will accept self-pay, various insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid. Menchhofer emphasized, “Versailles Healthcare aims to provide a seamless blend of quick, accessible care with ongoing, dedicated primary care for our rural neighbors.”
Current statistics show that over 80% of Americans value having healthcare close to home, especially in rural areas. With fewer healthcare facilities available, Menchhofer’s venture aims to fill a crucial gap for local residents. It’s a positive trend for community health, reflecting a growing demand for accessible services.
