In 2025, Bethel University experienced significant growth. Enrollment numbers soared, new academic leaders stepped in, and inspiring alumni stories emerged. All of this pointed towards a stronger, more impactful Christ-centered education.
Here are the top stories from the year that truly resonated with our community:
#10 Bethel’s Career Commitment
The Bethel Career Commitment is a game-changer for students. It ensures that every student in the College of Arts & Sciences receives thorough career preparation from day one. This means no one has to face the challenges of job hunting alone. If students need extra support, they can access up to eight graduate-level credits for free in select programs, plus potential transitional job opportunities at Bethel based on staffing needs.
This initiative, supported by The Studio for Vocation and Calling and our strong alumni network, answers pressing questions families often have about college: How much will it cost? Is it truly worth it? With a clear tuition price of $26,700, Bethel aims to balance affordability and quality education.
#9 Record Enrollment
For the first time, Bethel welcomed 1,124 new undergraduate students—its largest class ever. Overall undergraduate enrollment rose by 7.6%, a testament to Bethel’s focus on clear value. New career support and an emphasis on transformative academics are attracting more students than ever.
#8 Leadership in Education
Stacie Stanley GS’13, Bethel’s Alumna of the Year, is now the superintendent of Saint Paul Public Schools, the second-largest district in Minnesota. Her career has focused on equity and valuing every individual in the education system. After facing personal challenges and seeking spiritual guidance, Stanley used the leadership skills developed in Bethel’s Ed.D. program to step into this important role.
Bethel’s growth reflects a broader trend in education, with institutions increasingly prioritizing student support and real-world outcomes. Notably, a 2023 study by the National Center for Education Statistics found that 83% of students believe job placement services are crucial when choosing a college. This aligns with Bethel’s commitment to ensuring graduates are prepared for successful careers.
Bethel’s journey continues to inspire students, faculty, and alumni alike, showcasing what a dedicated community can achieve together.
