Elli Hakami and Julian P. Hobbs have created a new docuseries for TLC called The Cult of the Real Housewife. The show explores whether Mary Cosby, a star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, runs a mind control cult. Hobbs notes that inspiration for their investigation came from the original Bravo series itself.
As RHOSLC began its second season, co-star Whitney Rose hinted at Mary being a cult leader. This revelation added weight to the series when whistleblower Cameron Williams, a former church member, shared his experiences.
Hobbs and Hakami wanted to dig deeper beyond what the reality show presented. They believed there was more to uncover about Mary’s life and her church, Faith Temple.
