ATLANTA — Arthur M. Blank, owner of the Atlanta Falcons, has shared exciting news with fans: Greg Beadles is now President and CEO of the Falcons.
Beadles replaces Rich McKay, who held the CEO position since 2011. McKay will now focus solely on AMB Sports and Entertainment. Blank expressed confidence in Beadles, highlighting his valuable experience over three decades with the Falcons.
“Greg has been a key player in our organization,” Blank said. He noted Beadles’ leadership and the positive impact he’s had.
In his three years as president, Beadles handled finance, operations, marketing, and more. Under his leadership, the team’s headquarters in Flowery Branch, Georgia, saw major upgrades, and the Falcons ranked high in fan satisfaction.
“I grew up a Falcons fan,” Beadles said. He feels honored to take on this new role and appreciates the guidance from Blank and McKay. He aims to build a strong team and foster community connections.
Beadles started as an intern with the Falcons and now enters his 32nd year with the organization. He played a significant role in making AMBSE a respected sports and entertainment company. He helped establish Atlanta United, the city’s Major League Soccer team, and was instrumental in creating Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which won the 2018 Sports Facility of the Year from Sports Business Journal.
He was also the main executive for planning Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta. Beadles is actively involved in expanding flag football across the country. His leadership has helped Georgia’s girls’ flag football grow significantly, setting a standard for other teams.
Outside the Falcons, Beadles is a finance chair at the College Football Hall of Fame and co-founded the Oak Hill Classical School. He also supports the Arete Scholars Fund, which has provided scholarships to over 25,000 low-income children since 2010.
His family’s roots in Georgia run deep, with his father coaching basketball for over 50 years. Beadles, along with his wife Jill, is raising four children: Ella, Grant, Evie, and Hudson.
As Beadles steps into this new role, his commitment to the Falcons and the community promises exciting developments ahead.
