The Indian Railways is on track to produce 4,802 Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches in 2026-27, as part of its ongoing effort to enhance passenger safety and comfort. This production aims to meet growing demand and improve the overall quality of train services.
In a recent announcement, the Railways highlighted its record output of more than 4,224 LHB coaches up to November 2025. This number represents an 18% increase compared to the same time last year.
