AUSTIN, Texas – The Concordia Texas women’s basketball team showed great effort but fell to Hendrix 67–51 on Friday night at the Deb & Don Christian Fieldhouse.

In the first half, the Tornados struggled offensively, scoring only 18 points. Hendrix took advantage, building a 35–18 lead with strong inside scoring and rebounding. Despite their challenges, Concordia kept fighting and improved in the third quarter, though Hendrix remained in control.

The Tornados burst to life in the final quarter, scoring 22 points—their best period of the game. Shanna Brown led the charge with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and five steals. Taysie Trejo added 15 points, hitting a couple of three-pointers, and Katelyn Tietjen chipped in with eight points.

Even with this late rally, Hendrix’s steady offense and strong rebounding were key to their win. Chloey-Rei Brown led the Warriors with 18 points while Riley Brady recorded a double-double with 14 points and 17 rebounds. Hendrix dominated the boards, out-rebounding Concordia 48 to 34, and made 23 of 29 free throws.

The Tornados did generate some offense from turnovers, scoring 21 points, and added 14 fast-break points. However, Hendrix’s efficiency and ability to capitalize on second-chance opportunities made the difference.
