- East Central Railway: 20 new trains, 20 extended, and 12 sped up.
- Eastern Railway: 6 new trains, 4 extended, and 32 sped up.
- Northern Railway: 20 new trains and 24 sped up.
The Southern Railway zone stood out with 6 new train launches and a remarkable 75 trains sped up. Notably, the South Western Railway introduced 8 new trains while expediting 117 trains, the highest in the country.
Adding more context, according to the Indian Railways Annual Report for 2024-2025, a record 25 million passengers traveled daily, highlighting the growing reliance on trains for daily commutes and long-distance travel. The improved train services are a response to this increasing demand.
