Brooklyn Beckham loves trying new foods and has no regrets about his culinary adventures. Recently, he joined Seth Meyers and his brother Josh on their podcast, Family Trips, where he shared some fun food stories.
During the episode, Seth asked Brooklyn about a meal he wished he hadn’t tried. Brooklyn thought for a moment but couldn’t identify any regrets. However, he did mention that eating cod sperm was his “strangest” food experience. The hosts chuckled, with Seth and Josh joking about how unforgettable that name is.
Brooklyn guessed they likely have a more elegant name for cod sperm, but admitted it’s hard to shake off the bluntness of the term. He laughed along with the brothers, acknowledging how crazy it is to even try such a dish.
Though he didn’t specify when or where he tried cod sperm, it’s interesting to note that his dad, David Beckham, also had this dish. David shared his experience on Instagram back in 2015, calling it “interesting.” He later posted about enjoying sea bream sperm as well.
Brooklyn’s appetite for adventure doesn’t stop there. He mentioned wanting to try a unique dish in Japan, where they serve raw chicken like sashimi. Brooklyn feels that the fresh ingredients there make this a must-try. “It’s on my list,” he said eagerly.
In his relationship with wife Nicola, Brooklyn often pushes the boundaries when it comes to food. He recalled taking her to the famous Michelin-starred restaurant Vespertine in Los Angeles for a date night, without telling her what to expect. Initially hesitant about multi-course dining, she ended up loving it after just one dish. Now, she enjoys exploring new restaurants with him.
Brooklyn is always excited to explore the culinary world’s most adventurous offerings, both alone and with Nicola.
