Hartford police are looking into possible criminal charges after two vehicles drove through a crowd of protesters outside a federal building on Thursday. About 200 people were gathered at a vigil for Renee Good, a woman who was fatally shot by an ICE agent in Minneapolis just days prior.
During the vigil, some protesters attempted to block vehicles they believed were involved in a detainee removal by ICE. Another vehicle, a white van, followed closely behind, only to have its rear window smashed by someone in the crowd.
At a press conference, Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam reported that at least one person was hit by the vehicles.
