In New Delhi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recently highlighted the ongoing Joint Services Multi-Speciality Medical Camp in Lakshadweep. This initiative reflects the government’s vision of ‘Swasth Bharat’ or healthy India.
The five-day camp, running from January 12 to 16, aims to provide quality healthcare to residents in remote areas. Singh shared his thoughts through a video conference, emphasizing that the camp showcases the Indian Navy’s commitment to healthcare access for all.
The camp will serve several islands, including Agatti, Kavaratti, Androth, Amini, and Minicoy. A skilled team of medical professionals from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force will conduct comprehensive screenings, diagnoses, and treatments. They’ll also provide medications at no cost, contributing to long-term health benefits for the island community.
