BILLINGS, Mont., Jan. 15, 2026— A new federal nutrition plan was recently unveiled, focusing on real, nutrient-rich foods. The goal? To move away from highly processed products. In a joint op-ed by Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., they emphasized the importance of prioritizing whole foods. The plan introduces an updated food pyramid that now places beef at the top. “R-CALF USA welcomes the shift toward real food in America’s nutrition policy,” said R-CALF USA President Dave Hyde.
