We’re excited to announce free and low-cost architecture and history lessons for elementary and middle school students. These lessons include walking tours and fun art projects, plus a special focus on Black History. If your school qualifies, you can access these courses at no charge. In fact, over 90% of the schools we partner with are eligible for free or reduced prices. Our mission is to make learning accessible for every student.

All courses are taught by experienced educators and meet the learning standards set by NYC and NYS. We ensure our material supports your existing curriculum:

For elementary and middle schools, we offer three engaging lessons. Each consists of:

  • A classroom lesson
  • A guided walking tour
  • An exciting culminating art project

For middle and upper elementary grades, we focus on African American History, Greenwich Village, and Beyond. This program features four comprehensive lessons. You can choose any or all of them. Topics include:

  • The history of pre-European settlement
  • The Dutch origins of slavery in New York
  • The evolution of slavery under English and American rule
  • The journey to abolition
  • The development of voting rights and civil rights for African Americans
  • The vibrant culture of African Americans in New York, especially in Greenwich Village

Each lesson provides valuable insights into how these events shaped lives and communities. Join us in this wonderful educational opportunity!
