The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) is hosting the Bharat Vyapar Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam in the heart of Delhi. This Business Expo, running from May 1 to 4, aims to highlight the variety and strength of Indian trade, manufacturing, and services.
The event, backed by numerous trade federations and associations, aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “vocal to local, local to global.” It’s designed to set a new standard for trade exhibitions by showcasing Indian goods and services comprehensively.
According to CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal, over 2,000 stalls will display Indian products, with expectations of more than one million visitors from across the country. This Expo is not just about exhibitions; it emphasizes building business connections. With a strong focus on business-to-business (B2B) interactions, the Mahotsav will provide unique opportunities for domestic and international trade.
To enhance these connections, the event will use modern technology. Features like digital registration, AI matchmaking, and smart layouts will help ensure smooth participation and valuable business interactions.
The Expo is organized into eight thematic zones, each focusing on key sectors of Indian industry. A standout feature is its end-to-end product presentation, allowing visitors to see everything from raw materials to finished goods, all in one place. This approach provides a complete view of supply chains, aiding in partnership exploration, sourcing, and investment opportunities.
All types of participants will join: traders, manufacturers, MSMEs, startups, and women entrepreneurs. Beyond products, the Expo will feature a range of services, such as logistics, fintech solutions, e-commerce, and branding services.
The interest in events like the Bharat Vyapar Mahotsav reflects a growing trend in Indian entrepreneurship. A recent survey indicated that a significant number of Indians are starting their own businesses, showing optimism despite economic challenges. The CAIT’s efforts help support this entrepreneurial spirit.
By connecting traders with policy-makers and international delegations, the Bharat Vyapar Mahotsav represents a strategic movement in Indian business, aiming to elevate local products on a global stage.
