He played at Ohio State from 2021 to 2023 and transferred to Syracuse for his final season in 2024.
At Syracuse, McCord set several records. He started all 13 games and threw for a remarkable 4,779 yards, making him the Atlantic Coast Conference’s all-time single-season passing leader. His overall performance included 61 touchdown passes and a high passer rating of 154.4, showcasing his talent as a standout player.
